About Kai

What drives me is not just making work that looks great, but also strategic, effective, and engaging—whether it’s telling amazing brand stories or delighting users, the ultimate goal is to create a human connection.

I started down the path of design at an early age, poring over illustration and typography books, studying and obsessing over the craftsmanship. I studied Fine Arts at VCU but was eventually drawn towards design and advertising and began my career with UI/UX projects at ad agencies and webshops such as Razorfish, McCann, JWT, FCB, TWBA\Chiat\Day, and most notably OgilvyOne where I was Associate Creative Director and built everything from sites to apps to digital campaigns.

I then moved in-house to Razer as Design Director and managed a global design team of over 50. We ran the design department like a mini-agency producing everything for the company from photo assets, packaging, flyers, point-of-sale materials, websites, display ads, social media content, to videos, and more. We launched 100+ products over the years and helped Razer see exponential growth and dominate the gaming industry and become the world’s largest gaming lifestyle brand.
